Shaping Roxy with the Manners Minder
Roxy and I are having lots of fun shaping different things and using the Manners Minder as the reward, you can see her little mind trying to work out what I want so she can get her treat.
Roxy needs to sit in the box before she gets her treat.

Starting our foundation work
Roxy is now 16 weeks old and the last couple of weeks we have been working on our foundation skills for agility, we are working on our:
toy drive
food treats
hand touches
start line stays
working on going around a chair for distance
tunnels
running to the tug
retrieving the tug
bump jumps
And forever working on our recall as that is an important tool to have in your tool box of tricks but most important of all is too have lots of fun and grow together as a great team.

At eight weeks of age Roxy came to live with me at Cranbourne, Katie and I had enrolled the kids at puppy preschool and for the next four Wednesdays Roxy and Spark attended puppy preschool, they did have a ball and met lots of different puppies all about their age, they learnt to sit, drop, and wait for their dinner. They also had a play on some puppy agility stuff all of the puppies had a great time.

Roxy's First 8 weeks
Roxy was born on the 3rd August 2011, under emergency C section. Her mum had five puppies but only two survived, as it was my turn to have first pick I chose the female, hard decision as I love merles with blue eyes and that is what Spark her brother is, a choc merle with lovely blue eyes.
I picked Roxy for a name after her grandmother who died at an early age. So her full name is Kayladene Roxyz Lil Rocket. Katie bought up the two pups for the first eight weeks and did a super job, with giving the pups lots of new experiences, the pups met a lot of different people including children, men and women. The pups had lots of tug toys and soon became great little tuggers. They loved playing on the wobble board, and got used to balancing on Dyna discs at a very early age.
